Tomorrow marks the United Nations’ 21st annual World Water Day. This is a great opportunity to take notice of the benefits of safe and reliable drinking water and the many things it makes possible for us.

This year’s theme of “Water and Energy” focuses on the dependent relationship water and energy share. Water is needed to make and support many forms of energy, and energy is needed to treat and distribute water. Without one, there isn’t the other.   

AWWA and its members work hard to safely treat and distribute water to many people. World Water Day is a great time to focus on how lucky we are to enjoy safe water.
