Recycled water – safe to drink?

posted on
As California continues to deal with drought conditions, many areas are turning to different ways to process water to get it to drinking water standards, such as recycling water. According to an area NBC news station, a water district in San Jose is using such a process.

The Silicon Valley Advanced Water Purification Center in San Jose, which is the largest water purification plant in North California, recently ran tests to check if its recycled water is safe to drink. The verdict? Yes, it is!

The center’s plan is to eventually introduce recycled water to residents as its drinking water supply.
