Congratulations to this year’s Drinking Water Week video contest winners!

posted on

We are proud to announce that we have two video contest winners from this year’s Drinking Water Week celebration. The two winners are from the City of League City’s Water Production Department in League City, Texas and from Oregon Middle School in Medford, New York. This year’s video entrants fell under two categories - fun and creative or educational in nature.

It has been a long-standing tradition of the American Water Works Association’s to honor the significance of drinking water by celebrating Drinking Water Week during the first full week of May. Drinking Water Week will be celebrated in 2014 on May 4-10 and the theme again will be, just as it was in 2013, “What do you know about H2O?”.

The American Water Works Association will hold another video contest for 2014’s Drinking Water Week, so you are encouraged to put your thinking caps on now to submit your video in time for next year’s deadline. More details on next year’s celebration will be posted in early January 2014 to AWWA’s Drinking Water Week webpage.

Congratulations again to the City of League City’s Water Production Department and Oregon Middle School for their great video submissions!
