Community Engineering Corps – serving where the need is great

posted on

Are you interested in using your skills and expertise to help underserved communities in the United States? AWWA, along with the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Without Borders USA, joined together to form the Community Engineering Corps. This initiative tackles a serious and also growing problem in the United States – the small and underserved communities unable to afford basic infrastructure needs.

Are you asking yourself what it is that you can do to help with this program? Volunteer opportunities are available to ones who are already members of AWWA, ASCE or EWB-USA. A range of experience is needed to work on project teams, serve on program committees or mentor student project teams. Regardless of your experience or expertise, CEC is looking for enthusiastic and energetic people to serve communities in need to pass along knowledge.

A full list of volunteer opportunities are available for ones who are interested in learning more.
