Community Engineering Corps celebrates first anniversary

posted on

The Community Engineering Corps celebrates its first anniversary today, February 21. AWWA, along with the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Without Borders-USA, joined together to tackle a serious problem in the United States – the underserved communities unable to afford basic infrastructure needs.

Any community that needs engineering assistance but cannot afford it is encouraged to apply to start a project with the CE Corps.

CE Corps volunteer opportunities are available to ones who are already members of AWWA, ASCE or EWB-USA. A range of experience is needed to work on project teams, serve on program committees or mentor student project teams.

More information can be found on AWWA’s CE Corps webpage.
