This year's World Water Day theme is "Water and Jobs", touching on the thought that water and jobs can transform lives.

In honor of World Water Day, AWWA participated in the White House Water Summit going on in Washington, DC today.  This event raises awareness of the national importance of water and highlights new commitments and announcements that the Obama Administration and non-federal institutions are making to build a sustainable water future.

During the event, AWWA issued a challenge to its member water utilities and others to finish 1,000 water audits over the next two years by using AWWA's newest Water Audit Software.
