The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority in Pittsburgh, Pa. is installing 78,000 water meters for local homes and businesses that will help cut their water bills.
According to a
news story by WPXI of Pittsburgh, new and automated water meter readers are being installed locally that will run on wireless technology. With this technology, customers will be able to check how much water they are using at any time, and they will have the option to receive text messages and emails about possible leaks.
Having these new water meters will allow local customers to keep a close eye on their water consumption.
