Two Minneapolis artists, who also are married to each another, are well on their way to opening the "Water Bar", which will serve just the city's tap water and also water from other communities as well. Visitors can drink up for free.
So what is the goal of this idea? As stated in an Associated Press news article, it's about "connecting the public with the scientists, utility employees, environmentalists and activists who will serve as bartenders". The Water Bar comes at a unique time when a lot of interest is focused on the water and lead problems in Flint, Mich.
The concept originially started as pop-ups at events across the country, and it even had a four-month stint at an art museum.
