The New York Times’ video series “Living City” recently featured the area’s water system and how millions of gallons of water are produced each day for the millions of residents served.

One person featured in the video puts the focus of it simply but movingly when he said, “I think it’s important for all New Yorkers to be aware of their water system to not take for granted that water that comes out of your tap seemingly so effortlessly."
