Utah water treatment plant completes $50 million in upgrades

To prepare for a likely population boom, the Don A. Christiansen Regional Water Treatment Plant in Orem, Utah just finished $50 million in upgrades. Orem is 45 miles south of Salt Lake City.

According to The Deseret News in Salt Lake City, the area is expecting its population to almost double over the next 50 years, so the facility is hoping their upgrades will support this boom.

The treatment plant is an AWWA Intermountain Section tap water taste test winner.
