Many water utilities, state agencies, environmental advocates and other interested groups throughout North America are celebrating Drinking Water Week this week by holding special events. In fact, we have a whole list on our Drinking Water Week webpage of organizations participating in the week. And AWWA is one of those groups!

To help our staff members appreciate and celebrate Drinking Water Week, we held a tamale sale yesterday and will be holding a water pong tournament tomorrow. Proceeds from both events go to our association's Student & Young Professional Programs. On Saturday, we are also participating in a nearby event being held by an AWWA member.

This week is a great time to show our appreciation for our drinking water, our water supply and our local water utility.
