Many in India do not have access to clean water regularly, so government authorities in Delhi bring clean and treated water right to residents.

According to BBC News, there are machines available in the city that take pre-paid smart cards so people can fill containers up for just a small fee. These machines are called water ATMs. Because of the success of this program, officials are looking to expand it to other cities in India.
