The U.S. EPA recently released a new version of its “How’s My Waterway” app and website. According to a U.S. EPA press release, the app and website help users to learn the conditions of waterways, lakes, rivers and streams in the country.

To use the website, simply type in a zip code or a city into the search bar, or the app can use GPS to find your location. From there, a list of waterways within five miles of the searched location will pop up to choose from. Once a waterway has been chosen, the app can provide detailed information about it. This is helpful information to have on-hand when fishing, swimming or boating or to learn more about your drinking water supply.
