World Water Week is almost here!

posted on
World Water Week is Aug. 31 – Sept. 5. An annual conference is held during this time that brings attendees from all over the world to discuss issues surrounding the topic of water. The Stockholm International Water Institute organizes the event so naturally it's held in Stockholm. This year’s theme is “Energy and Water”.

A highlight of the conference is the handing out of a couple of notable prizes and awards - the Stockholm Water Prize, the Stockholm Junior Water Prize and the Stockholm Industry Water Award. The prestigious Stockholm Water Prize is given to people who’ve made “outstanding achievements in water-related activities” according to World Water Week’s website.

Even though you may not be attending the conference, the week is still a great time to reflect on how important and valuable water is to you and to all of us.
