World Water Day is March 22

Sunday marks the United Nations’ 22nd annual World Water Day.

This year’s World Water Day theme is “Water and Sustainable Development”. This involves the thought that water plays an important role in developing sustainability in the seven areas of health, nature, urbanization, industry, energy, food and equality.

AWWA and its members work hard to safely treat and distribute water to many people in North America and beyond. Safe and reliable drinking water makes many things possible for us!
