Last week, we wrote about a houseboat that is in the works that will create its own energy and water, and now we are reading about a house that has already been built that is doing that too.
Casa Nirau in Mexico City creates its own water by recycling rainwater. Most of the water that is needed for the house is created with this system in place. According to Inhabitat, a website that is devoted to green design, the system "begins on the roof and main terrance, where rain is collected. The water is then passsed through two main carbon filters, to create drinking water."
Very cool!
