Check for lead service lines during Drinking Water Week

posted on

As Drinking Water Week rolls on, we are encouraging everyone to check for lead service lines in their homes.

You could be at risk if you live in a home with a lead service line, so get your pipes tested by hiring a licensed plumber. If a lead service line is found, talk to the plumber and your local water utility about getting it replaced quickly.

Additionally, you can have your home’s water tested by a certified laboratory that has been recommended by your local utility.

More information on lead in water can be found on our Lead In Water webpage, as well in previous blog posts.
